My Story

Thanks for stopping by The Sandy SeaBabe aka Its That Girl aka About that Time! (Still working out the kinks of what its gonna be called.) What started as a love affair with all things beachy and ocean, I somehow got distracted by live music, travel, and searching for things that bring inner peace. Recently I lost a very dear friend and it made me halt and re-evaulate my whole life.

Growing up in Southern California, the beach is just a staple in my life. It is what you do when its summer time, or winter. There are camping trips, day trips, bonfires, surfing trips, playing in the water, watching a sunset. My whole entire life revolved around the beach. As with most people who grow up in the same area, I began to get restless. I took a year off and moved to England with a boyfriend. That is when the traveling bug really hit.

After moving back to California, I couldn’t wait to leave. Went to Dallas, TX for almost five years. I missed the life I had before something fierce, but what I really gained was independence. Moving there with no family or back up plan taught me to plan ahead and LIVE. After awhile, I missed family and wanted nature. I took a leap of faith and moved to Kauai. As gorgeous as it was – it was too small and remote. Didn’t realize it would bother me until I tried it out.

Moved back to California for about six months and as much as I wanted it to work, the universe had something else in mind for me. Here I sit, in Dallas, TX, contemplating my next move.  In the meantime, I am setting up trips all over the place to get my airplane fix, watch live music, and just learning to LIVE in the moment!

  1. Done it myself. I was saying, better to let it out through the keyboard than any other way. Good luck with your pages. It is difficult and I’m intelligent 😉

    1. Yes!! I have learned that if I allow my evil ways to take over… not always a good thing. Much better to scream and yell through a keyboard and send it off to cyberspace. Thanks for reading my blog. 🙂
